4th of 6 "Just Kitchens Classics" Club Competition Results.

Members of Glyncornel Angling Association had yet another rewarding day at Glyncornel Lake.
July 2008

Members of Glyncornel Angling Association had yet another rewarding day when they competed in the 4th of 6 “Just Kitchens Classic” fishing tournaments. Historically, July has not been the best month for fishing due to the warmer weather, but a majority of the members persevered through the day to catch their 4 fish limit. Best tactics on the day was fishing lures deep with a slow figure of eight retrieve.

1st place went to Philip Brown with a total weight of 15 lb 14 oz Clap.

2nd place went to Ian Jones (13 lb 13 oz) and 3rd place to Craig Fry (13 lb 09 oz). Philip also landed himself the biggest fish of the day prize when he landed a 06 lb 02 oz rainbow trout and Steven James won the tag fish prize Clap.

Although the weather changed dramatically through the day, it was good to see all members both young and old enjoying the day.

Pictured below, deep in thought, is Terry (Steptoe) Bassett. The best funny caption to accompany this photo will be shown and read out at the next club competition (please be kind! LOL).

Tight Lines!

Ian,
(Vice Chairman)
