About Glyncornel Angling Association

Glyncornel Angling Association, is home to one of the finest trout fisheries in the whole of South Wales.

Stocked regularly with both brown trout and rainbow trout, the lake has more to offer than your average catch and release small water.

The lake is open to fly fishing only, and is open from the 20th of March, to the 17th of October 2005.

Members are entitled to fish a maximum of three times a week, and have a bag limit of two fish per day (rainbow trout only).
Any brown trout caught is strictly on a catch and release basis.

The lake is regularly stocked with trout to 14 lb +.

Fishery record: 18lb 4oz rainbow trout.

Membership fees:

Only season permits available. Adult and junior prices are shown in the "Welcome to Glyncornel A.A." section of this page. These prices are for new members only (reductions apply for existing members).

DONT BE 'CAUGHT' OUT THIS APRIL. ENVIRONMENTAL AGENCY ISSUE WARNING.

Don’t be ‘caught’ out this April. Remember that the 1st of April was the start of the new rod licence year and you will need to get out and renew your Environment Agency rod fishing licence for the coming year. All current full and concessionary rod licences expired on 31 March, so if you’re planning to fish over the coming season, now is the time to buy a new one. IN ADDITION TO THE E.A. LICENSE, YOU MUST ALSO PURCHASE A LICENSE FROM THE CLUB THAT OWNS THE RIGHTS TO THE VENUE YOU ARE PLANNING TO FISH (OR / AND SEEK THE LAND OWNERS PERMISSION IF THE VENUE IS NOT OWNED BY A FISHING CLUB).
